As the largest healthcare provider in East Gippsland, Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) provides services including comprehensive primary care, acute care, aged care, community and home based health services to a growing population of 40,000 people across a land mass of 21,000 square kilometres.
BRHS operates three fixed campuses in conjunction with itinerant healthcare services in remote communities:
- The main hospital campus is situated in Bairnsdale and incorporates acute, sub-acute and aged care services.
- The Community Health centre, also situated in Bairnsdale, supports Community and district nursing, public dental services, Post Acute Care and our primary Adult Day Centre. These facilities are also utilised to support BRHS health promotion and prevention activities such as pulmonary and cardiac education and the Sustainable Farm Families healthcare program.
- The newest campus is located in Paynesville and offers a range of community healthcare services to the local area including podiatry, physiotherapy, counselling, continence services and Women’s health.
